y popular demand, we are offering a new section of the fashion stylist certificate. Why so popular? ....perhaps because today the fashion industry and the image industry are blending into one. The profession of stylist is on the rise & the New England Fashion+Design Association is offering a 10 week certificate workshop to help students start and further their career as a professional stylist. During this workshop, students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with fashion industry professionals and stylist from Fairfield County and NYC. Outstanding graduates of the stylist certificate will have the opportunity to help behind the scenes during fashion week.

Topics include: Image Consulting; Life-Styling; Lifestyle Elements; Principles of Fashion Design; Fabrics, Textiles & Silhouettes; Following & Creating Fashion Trends; Wardrobe & Look Planning; Look Accessorizing Consultation Scheduling & Planning; Identifying Style Types; Color Charting; Makeup and Hair Styling; Style Consulting Principles; The Stylist Code of Ethics; Fashion Stylist Portfolio; Business Development & Marketing.

FASHION HISTORY TO FASHION RUNWAY

As a fashion designer or fashion forecaster, Inspirations come from within and from outside...and one of the best places to look for inspiration outside of oneself is in the history of fashion. In these lecture/workshops you will travel in a time machine from ancient times to today and learn about the evolution of fashion and how this is translated in the contemporary fashion world.

Note: This workshop is the companion workshop to Fashion Trend-Forecasting: from Urban Street to Fashion Runway and Fashion Trend-Forecasting: from Market Sizing to Market SuccessTogether the three workshops offer a comprehensive understanding of fashion forecasting.

ENROLLMENT: ...to enroll in a workshop WITHOUT registering on DECÖ's website is easy…because all workshops and seminars are also listed on the World Fashion Council's website...Click here to see a full listing of current workshops and seminars, and to register in any of those workshops.

To register yourself or someone in one or more of the workshops please follow the steps below:

1. Go to http://www.worldfashioncouncil.org/deco/login/signup.php and register yourself...you'll receive an email in approximately 10-15 minutes with a link you'll need to click on to confirm (the email may be in either you Inbox or Bulk Mail Folder. If the email is in your bulk folder you will need to look carefully. Your bulk folder will often include emails with a future date: this means, that the confirmation email you receive may not be at the top of the list. To find the email in your bulk folder, then, look for the emails received on the day you registered.)

2. Log into the workshop and online classes section of the site at: http://www.worldfashioncouncil.org/deco/login/index.php;

3. Select your workshop and section and click on the register me button!

  1. Note: Each workshop has a limited number of spaces available. If the workshop is already full you will not be able to register!
